Try your very best to get work turned in on time. If work is late, there will be a 20% deduction per NEISD policy. Once an assessment (quiz or test) is given or the three week grading period has ended, all previous assignments will be counted as a zero. SO YOU FAILED AN ASSESSMENT.
NOW WHAT? If you scored less than a 70 on an assessment (quiz or test), then talk to Mrs. Davis about re-taking the assessment. It is the responsibility of the student to see Mrs. Davis before or after class regarding a re-take. The student must take the new assessment within one week of receiving the original graded paper. Students may not wait until the end of the grading period to re-take an assessment if the assessment was given many weeks ago. Remember that the maximum grade on the re-take will be a 70. |

The goal is for you to feel confident and comfortable with math! Please always be: RESPECTFUL POSITIVE PRODUCTIVE PROMPT PATIENT BE PUNCTUAL
Be in your seat before the tardy bell rings and begin the daily warm up. If Mrs. Davis is not inside or near her classroom, please line up outside and wait for her. Please do not enter without her being nearby. Students will be expected to use the restroom and get a drink of water BETWEEN classes; therefore, you will not be allowed to leave class once you have entered. In case of an emergency, see Mrs. Davis. BE POLITE
Follow school and classroom rules. Please follow simple rules of courtesy to others: * Raise your hand to speak. * Remain seated when someone is talking. * Wait for Mrs. Davis to dismiss you. * Make sure your area is clean before you leave. * RESPECT yourself, each other, and your teacher. -Please keep your hands to yourself. -Please do not use Mrs. Davis' personal items. -Please use the supplies at the student table and return them. -Please do not use the SMARTBoard unless directed. USE YOUR INDOOR VOICE AND LISTEN
You will have an opportunity to work in groups. The noise level needs to not be too loud. When Mrs. Davis wants the class to stop and listen, she will say, "May I have your attention, please." This is when you will need to stop your activity and direct your attention to Mrs. Davis. TARDIES:
Mrs. Davis will record your tardy. You are considered tardy if you are not sitting in your assigned seat by the time the tardy bell rings. Consequences can add up quickly, so be on time. Mrs. Davis follows the Bradley tardy policy. See posted consequences in the room. Were you Absent?
Procedure for getting make-up work: If you are absent there are FOUR great ways to find out what you missed. 1. Check the "While You Were Out" bucket near Mrs. Davis' classroom door. 2. Check Mrs. Davis' assignment calendar on the website. 3. Ask Mrs. Davis BEFORE class begins. 4. Ask a peer/classmate BEFORE class begins. |
